deBridge Update: February 2022

Whatever stage of the crypto cycle we are in, one thing is certain: we will continue to construct a cross-chain infrastructure to propel us toward a multi-chain future. Here’s a look back at February 2022.

MAINNET BETA LAUNCH

After 10 months of hard work and overcoming seemingly unsolvable tasks, deBridge mainnet beta was launched on February 17! The mainnet supports 5 chains from the start, i.e. Ethereum, BSC, HECO, Arbitrum, and Polygon, with more to come.

At this point, the deBridge mainnet enables projects and users the following:

• An infrastructure and application that allows bridging and transferring of any arbitrary assets and data across all five supported chains.
• Cross-chain swaps of specific assets between three chains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Polygon.
• Implemented an entire interoperability framework for protocols and applications to go cross-chain and tap into various cross-chain opportunities.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

• New feature: Wallet Connect integration to support any arbitrary wallets
• In conjunction with the mainnet launch, we started a photo competition of bridges around the world! Top participants stand a chance to win up to 100 USDC. Competition ended on February 27, winners to be announced soon.

18 February 2022: deBridge Discord AMA

• Details about the Mainnet launch and screensharing by co-founder Alex Smirnov.
• In case you missed it, here’s a demo showing how you can perform cross-chain stablecoins swap. This is one of the first applications being built on the deBridge infrastructure.

21 February 2022: deBridge Reddit AMA

• The first edition of deBridge’s AMA Series, this time about the mainnet launch.
• Top voted questions include gas fees, cross-chain swap, and support for other chains.
